New Customer of Golden Hour Live

Air Idaho Rescue Goes Live and Joins a Growing List of Users of Golden Hour Live Services

San Diego, CA, July 2, 2007 - Air Idaho Rescue, operating out of Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls, Idaho, is the newest Golden Hour Live customer.  Air Idaho Rescue operates one rotor wing aircraft and also staffs Critical Care, Maternal Care, and Neonatal Care ground units.  The program went Live on June 27, 2007.

“We are thrilled to join the growing family of Golden Hour Live customers,” said Lynette Sharp, Program Director for Air Idaho Rescue.  “We evaluated several solutions for both dispatch and clinical charting.  We also checked several references for Golden Hour and found they have a great customer service reputation within the industry.  Our implementation was smooth and we are now operational with Golden Hour Live as our integrated solution for operations throughout Air Idaho Rescue.”

Established in 1990, Air Idaho Rescue provides medical service throughout Eastern Idaho, Northwestern Wyoming, and Southwest Montana.  They operate a premier mountain rescue helicopter, Augusta A109K2, capable of transporting 2 patients simultaneously depending on weight, altitude, and medical requirements.  The rotor crew consists of a pilot, medic, nurse and communications specialist.  The nurses and medics work 24- hour shifts.

Dispatchers and Clinicians were trained on Golden Hour Live about a week apart.  Simultaneous with the implementation, Air Idaho Rescue completed a renovation of their Communications Center with new equipment and modernized facilities.  Even though this increased the workload, the Air Idaho crews enthusiastically approached training and were operational within a few weeks.

In demonstration of their commitment, Lynette Sharp, Program Director for Air Idaho Rescue, sat through nearly every dispatch and clinical training class and became extremely proficient in the use of Golden Hour Live.  The integrated functionality of Golden Hour Live supports the recently added Call Center tasks for the Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.
