Intermountain Life Flight Joins a Growing List of Users of Golden Hour Live Services

San Diego, CA – July 2, 2007 - Intermountain Life Flight, out of Salt Lake City, Utah, is the newest Golden Hour IMS customer.  Intermountain Life Flight operates four rotor wing aircraft, two Agusta A109 K2's for high altitude and hoist missions, and two Bell 407's for interfacility, scene, and some selected SAR missions.  Intermountain Life Flight also operates three fixed wing Beechcraft B200 King Air twin-engine airplanes from two different bases in the State.

Intermountain Life Flight began service on July 6, 1978, becoming the 7th air medical transport program in the United States.  Servicing the Intermountain West, Intermountain Life Flight became the first and only civilian air ambulance organization in the United States certified by the FAA to conduct hoist rescue operations.  Beginning its hoist rescue program in 2001, they performed their 101st life-saving hoist rescue mission in Fall 2006.  The geographical terrain Intermountain Life Flight services makes it difficult to reach injured or stranded patients on the rugged terrain from the ground.
