Golden Hour Live Flight Following Service allows for real-time flight following and post-flight playback after a transport has returned safely to base. Flight Following shows both the original "flight plan" as defined by the dispatcher (typically a point-to-point plan) as well as the actual "flight path" taken during the flight to avoid weather or obstacles as well as comply with various flight restrictions for departure and approach. Golden Hour Live Flight Following also calculates any SegWay miles that may result from the deviation between the flight plan and the flight path. Tracking of these SegWay miles allows the EMS operator to recover additional revenue by justifying the actual miles flown.
