Dr. Hutton is a physician executive and a Board Certified, Emergency Physician who began his EMS career in 1980 as an EMT. During Medical School at Georgetown and Residency at the University of Pittsburgh’s Center for Emergency Medicine, Dr. Hutton became focused on EMS and HEMS operations and medical direction serving in roles EMS medical control physician, EMS response physician, flight physician, and air medical researcher. After residency, Kevin became an academic Emergency Physician at University of California San Diego and Medical Director of Life Flight San Diego before it closed due to financial pressures. After the closure, Kevin founded Golden Hour with a personal mission to keep HEMS and EMS sustainable and available through integration and optimization of clinical and financial operations. Dr Hutton is internationally recognized for his expertise and is an air medical industry knowledge leader serving as board member of the Air Medical Physicians Association (AMPA), Past Secretary and Board Member of the Association of Air Medical Services (AAMS), and a past Chairman of the MedEvac Foundation International. Kevin was also the recipient of the Marriott-Carlson Award in 2008, the air medical industry's highest award for individual contribution. He has led Golden Hour as CEO and Chairman since 1997.
